At Chenango Valley Central School District, our curriculum reflects who we are as a community. We use research-based practices, clear learning goals, and regular progress checks to support every student’s growth.
We use evidence-based reading research, known as the Science of Reading, to provide clear and structured reading and writing instruction.
Literacy programs by grade level
Grades K–5: Amplify CKLABuilds background knowledge and foundational skills such as phonics.
Pre-K, Middle School, High School: Instruction follows NYS learning expectations using research-based materials and texts. Pre-K and Middle School teams are reviewing programs in the 2025–26 school year for implementation in the 2026–27 school year.
