Child Find: Identifying Students Who May Need Support

We are committed to helping identify children who may need special education services.

  • Children age 21 or younger who live in the Chenango Valley Central School District, including those in private schools, may be referred for an evaluation.

  • Referrals can be made if a disability is suspected, even if the child is not currently receiving special education services.

To learn more or start the referral process, contact the Special Education Office at (607) 762-6830.

  • If school is closed, all meetings for that day are canceled.
  • The Special Education Office will contact you to reschedule any canceled meeting.
  • If you have questions, please call the Special Education Office at (607) 762-6830.
